P2: Fast Charging Protocol Display and Detection Interface
CC1_P2.png

Long press K-: switch Ah, Wh capacity display unit
Long press K+: switch capacity record start current threshold

V: Voltage A: Current W: Power Wh: Recorded capacity
D+ D-: D+D- communication line voltage
Red dot: Capacity recording status standard
Red dot flashing: recording
0.05A: Capacity recording start current,
DCP: Current possible fast charging protocol - "fake protocol"
Note: The yellow display box does not display the actual fast charging protocol

Fast charging protocol auxiliary speculation: "fake protocol" Introduction
Tip: The protocol displayed by the fast charging protocol is inferred based on the D+D- level and charging voltage and current
It is not the fast charging communication protocol actually used by mobile phones or charging devices
The inference has great uncertainty and may not be accurate, for reference only

DCP: Indicates that the D+ and D- levels are basically the same (common in 5V devices)
APPLE: Indicates that the current D+D- voltage may match the voltage of old Apple devices
Note: Currently all Apple devices including charging heads have basically abandoned this old solution
The new Apple supports DCP (Apple charging heads in recent years no longer have APPLE levels)
SUPER: There is high voltage or high current (maybe fast charging)
QC: There may be Qualcomm QC fast charging
Protocol: Protocol title, no other meaning

PD, PPS, EPR: Can monitor real PD data

* ≥0.05A This current is recorded, and the capacity accumulation will stop automatically if it is less than this current
* Capacity recording will be automatically started if the current is greater than this current
* Capacity recording will automatically start recording if the current is greater than the threshold current, and no operation is required
* Capacity recording Wh can save data when the power is off
* Capacity record can be cleared on the next page P3 (see P3 instructions)
The purpose of setting the starting current is: There is still a weak current when the mobile phone is fully charged
Generally, there are still tens of mA current after the mobile phone is fully charged, and some are even larger
If you do not set a starting threshold, the charging will be recorded all night
Then the charging capacity of the mobile phone you record will become very large (inaccurate)

Specific setting amount: You can observe how much current is left at the meter end after your mobile phone is fully charged for 20 minutes
The threshold set is larger than this
*Why do you need to see the current after 20 minutes of full charge
|Answer: Because most mobile phones now have UI fast charging
The UI shows that the mobile phone is still charging when it is 100% full, and it may take a few minutes to charge
The longest may reach more than 10 minutes
So it is expected that the current data after 20 minutes of the mobile phone displaying 100% is more reliable

For example: After my phone is fully charged for 20 minutes, there is still a fluctuating current between 80 and 150 mA (when the screen is off)
Then I set the threshold current to 0.2A (200mA) to block these invalid records

Long press K-: switch Ah, Wh capacity display unit
Long press K+: switch capacity record start current threshold

*Note: Most devices now have fast charging, Ah is meaningless
Remember to use Wh recording method to record battery or charging capacity
--------------------------------------------------------------

CC1 PD automatic monitoring function What is the use of PD monitoring?
Know whether the mobile phone is charged by PD, what PD gear and data are used for charging
The CC1 series does not have an independent PD chip, and the PD monitoring function is implemented through software
PD monitoring only supports public version PD data
PD monitoring already supports PD3.1 EPR data monitoring
CC1_P2A.png
CC1_P2B.png

The two pictures above show the state of having a PD charger but no PD trigger
PD 100W: Indicates that this charger has a 100W PD fixed gear broadcast
PPS 120W: Indicates that this charger has a 120W PPS gear
If the charger only has a fixed gear PD but no PPS, PPS will not be displayed
If there is a fixed PD gear and PPS, they will be displayed alternately

CC1_P2C.png
If the mobile phone or PD power device behind triggers PD charging
This interface will automatically switch to fast PDO display

Yellow: PD 100W means that this charger has a fixed gear of 100W
If this charger also has a PPS gear, it will be displayed in turn

The blue display area is PDO data
You can accurately observe what PD working mode the device has applied for

[1:7] means that this charger has 7 PD gears
The current mobile phone has applied for the first gear to charge

F: Indicates that the first gear currently applied by the mobile phone is a fixed voltage gear Fixed
Similarly, the attributes of different PD gears are represented by the following letters:
P means PPS
E means EPR (PD3.1)
A means AVS (PD3.1)
15W: Indicates the power of the current PD gear
5.00V 3.0A: Indicates the application data of the current PD gear

Note: Blue area The data is monitored in real time and changes in real time

Note: PD monitoring is implemented through software, and the speed is not as fast as the physical PD chip

Therefore, some PD chargers and power banks cannot monitor, which is normal

If the PD broadcast list cannot be captured, it will display?

If the mobile phone continues to apply for PD gear at this time, the specific gear can be captured

For example, 9V 2A, but the PD total power displays? (because the total power is only broadcast at the moment of power-on)

Fast charging protocol auxiliary speculation: "fake protocol" introduction
Tip: The protocol displayed by the fast charging protocol is speculated based on the D+D- level and charging voltage and current
It is not the fast charging communication protocol actually used by mobile phones or charging devices
The speculation has great uncertainty and may not be accurate, it is for reference only

P3: Capacity Statistics Interface
CC1_P3.png

Wh: Charging energy
R: Capacity recording time
MAX: Indicates the maximum value recorded after power-on
The blue arrow indicates the current direction
Note: Maximum value and average value data will not be saved after power-off

AVG: Average value automatically calculated since power on
Press K- for a long time: Clear capacity record
Press K+ for a long time: Switch between MAX and AVG display
Note: Maximum and average values are not saved after power failure

Press K- for a long time: Clear capacity record

160mV: Current ripple value
5V 2A 10W: Real-time voltage, current, power value
*Note: Professional commercial load is required to measure ripple
CC1 plug charging head test

Using mobile phones, power banks, small fans, etc. as loads does not measure ripple!
Using mobile phones, power banks, small fans, etc. as loads does not measure ripple!
Using mobile phones, power banks, small fans, etc. as loads does not measure ripple!

Commercial loads have less interference and can effectively observe ripple data
Commercial loads are more expensive, and most people don’t have them
It is recommended to use cement resistors worth a few dollars to replace them!

Don’t use Taobao, DIY loads, especially those of a certain brand
When the fan moves after plugging in, the ripple increases by dozens or hundreds of mV, which has no reference value.

According to the sampling theorem: 100k ripple requires a sampling frequency of more than 200k to sample
So 400k sampling can measure ripples below 200k, and similarly 600k sampling can measure ripples below 300k
Note: Since CC1 has a low ADC frequency and no frequency tracking function
A charger ripple is composed of many frequencies, so the frequency will jump when CC1 is measured
If you need a clearer ripple measurement, it is recommended to purchase C5 or U3L, U3, etc. with frequency tracking function
Note: Since the CC1 chip ADC performance is weak, the frequency and ripple are for reference only!

Press K+ on this page to adjust the ripple measurement frequency (150k~600kHz)
——————————————————————————-
Press K- on this page to enter the line resistance measurement interface
CC1_P4.png
031mΩ: indicates the internal resistance of the data line
A: indicates the external load current
Cable: 8A
Indicates the current that this data line can carry
Press and hold K-, K+ on this page to return to the ripple interface

Press OK key (KEY+) to exit
If CC1 has been used for a period of time
Plug 5V into TYPE-C male plug
If nothing is connected to TYPE-C female plug, there is a large current jump
Small current jump is normal (no need to pay attention)
If there is a large current jump when the male plug is powered without load
You can flash the 2.0 firmware to clear the jump data again
Note: Only when there is a large current when the C male plug is plugged in, it needs to be cleared to 0
Note: Use USB-A to USB-C data cable to plug CC1 female plug
CC1 will measure its own current
This is a normal phenomenon, do not plug the female plug to clear the current
Your meter reading will be abnormal after clearing (see below for how to restore)
CC1_Menu02A.png
V2.0 version has 0-point current correction function
Users with higher version firmware
Can flash V2.0 to clear and then flash back to higher version firmware
After using the USB tester for a period of time
If the current display is not 0 when the forward power is supplied
You can enter this menu to clear
5V power supply, press OK key to start ("KEY-")
Do not connect any load after CC1 during the clearing process
Wait for the countdown to end and it will automatically restart
If you accidentally enter this menu, press CANCEL to exit directly ("KEY+")
Directly unplugging and powering off will also exit
Note: When the USB meter is in normal use
There is no need to click on the 0-point current calibration
