I had this paired to my Tuya Smartlife app when I first got this years ago. A recent power-outage seems to have reset something about it as Tuya would no longer connect to it and I saw the screen with the QR code on the unit itself. I have tried many times to re-pair this thing with no luck. What EXACTLY are the steps to factory reset this so it will be seen in the Tuya app again? There is no hole to insert a pin. There is no "factory reset" menu item that I can tell. I have the WiFi version. I have seen the bluetooth show up when I scan for BT devices and tried to pair with it but nothing happens further. I see the blue light slowly blinking. I am on a 2.4 Ghz IoT network for WiFi use. I have over 150 IoT smart-home devices and dozens of Tuya compatible ones. I'm a Sr. Software Engineer... This shouldn't be so difficult to pair !

So again, please, what EXACTLY do I need to press (and hold) and where to reset this? Do I need to be ON the QR screen for this to be in pairing mode too? What will the blue and red lights show when it's in proper pairing mode?

I deleted the device from the Tuya app, is there some issue there in that it's not re-pairing b/c Tuya thinks it already has been or something?

Right. I have chosen that menu item so many times. Tuya Smartlife never detects the device to even setup wifi. Again, could you please give me the exact steps to perform. Spell it out like I'm an absolute newbie.

I purchased this on Amazon October 20, 2024, Order #114-5513795-########

Does that still qualify? I'd really like a replacement unit if so, if you want to send me one instead of a refund that'd be great.

Also, I tend to agree with your assessment re: the WiFi chip because when I scan ALL 2.4 GHz WiFi networks with various tools (on my Unifi UR or android phone/tablets) nothing shows up that looks like it could be this device (other than some MAC address ones, but I have no idea what the MAC is b/c it's not printed on the device or anywhere I can see in the menus).

Not sure if this is relevant, but my menu only has 17 rows and my WiFi option is on row 12... not sure what that `20` is referring to in the document?
