I have a QC3.0 charger and only charges an iPhone XR at 5V 1A, e.g. very low 5W. It shows as protocol QC 5V.

Am I testing correctly? Do I need to use the quick charge function? If so, how? Any other test I can do?

iPhone always has this limit with ordinary chargers, for iPhone X/XR, they can be charged using Type-C PD protocol, that's quicker. And the fast charge trigger function of the meter is forcing the charger to enter fast charge mode(with higher voltages), it's unsafe to use this feature for speeding up charging process.

Thanks. I connected the tester to a USB-C charger, but the charger does not turn on, nor does it charge the iPhone XR connected to the USB-C out port. I am able to charge the device directly  详情 回复 发表于 29-06-2019 22:28

What am I doing wrong?

When using the tester on a USB-C connection, does it take power from USB-C or does it take power from somewhere else?

If you want to read the voltage and current of your device while normal operation, connect the INPUT and the charger with a C-C cable, make sure the PD trigger switch is on the OFF position ,and connect the OUTPUT and your device with another CC cable, if the screen didn't light up, flip one of cable in INPUT/OUTPUT and it should light up.

To use the meter as a trigger (make the charger to output 5V/9V/12V etc.), place the PD trigger switch to ON position, and enter PD trigger (Or QC etc.. for some compatible chargers) mode. Check up the manual for details.
